Barber Program

iStock 000014349268SmallThe Barber Program is an opportunity to develop skills for a unique career rich in culture and history.  The skills to cut hair have been passed from one generation to the next for centuries, and our set of skilled instructors take a mentoring approach to each student to keep that tradition alive.  As a professional barber, you will provide services such as cutting, trimming, shampooing, and styling hair, trimming beards, or giving shaves.

The program length is 13 months, and it is a Certificate level program.

The goal for the cosmetologist and barber is not only to pass the required State Board Examination, but also to participate in intensive training and study so that upon graduation, the student can enter successfully into his or her chosen profession, cosmetologist or barber.
